- 2 teaspoon / 7g sachet instant yeast
- 220 g water
- 400 g flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 30 g extra virgin olive oil
Place yeast and water in the mixing bowl and mix 1 minute / 37 degrees / speed 1.
Add flour, salt, olive oil and knead 2 minutes / lid closed / knead.
Grease a large bowl with a little olive oil. Transfer dough to the bowl and cover with a damp tea towel or plastic wrap.
Leave dough to rise for 1 - 2 hours, depending on how warm your kitchen is.
Pre-heat your oven to 200C / 400F.
When you are ready to make the pizza, punch down the pizza dough and divide into four.
Flour your bench and rolling pin and roll out the dough into a circle and place onto pizza tray or pizza stone.
Cover with pizza sauce, your choice of toppings and grated mozzarella.
Bake in the oven for around 10-15 minutes, until pizza base is crisp and cheese is melted and bubbling.
