Thermomix Apple Crumble

For the Apple Filling
- 900 g apples 5-6 standard apples
- 2-4 tbsps caster sugar depending on sweetness of apples and personal taste
- 1 tablespoon plain flour
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
For the crumble topping
- 150 g Flour
- 125 g Butter chilled from the fridge
- 35 g caster sugar
- 35 g soft brown sugar
- 2 tbsps oats optional
For the Apple Filling
Peel and core the apples and then chop them into 2cm cubes.
Place the apple pieces into a bowl and sprinkle with the flour, sugar and cinnamon. Mix well.
Pour over the lemon juice and mix well.
Grease a baking dish and line with the apples.
For the crumble topping
Chop the butter into pieces and add to the Thermomix bowl along with all the other ingredients.
Mix for 20 seconds / speed 4. It should be well mixed but with some texture - some pieces may be the size of small pebbles.
(Optional) Add oats to the bowl and stir through with a spatula.
Spread the topping over the apple filing and bake in the pre-heated oven for 35-40 minutes. The topping should be a rich golden brown colour.
1. The type of apples is personal preference - for a tarter flavour choose green apples, for a sweeter flavour choose red apples.
2. The weight of the apples is before peeling and coring.
