Equipment

  • 8-inch square cake tin

Ingredients

  • 5 47g Mars Bars (or 235g)
  • 100 g butter
  • 100 g Rice Bubbles
  • 200 g Chocolate Milk or Dark, depending on preference
  • 15 g oil any flavourless oil, eg vegetable, grapeseed, canola

Instructions

  • Line an 8" square baking tin with baking paper. Allow enough baking paper to overlap to make it easy to lift out of the tin.
  • Roughly chop the Mars Bars and add to the Thermomix bowl with the butter. Melt for 6 minutes / 60 degrees / speed 2. Don't worry if there are a few little lumps left, it is just the nougat and it will mix in with the Rice Bubbles.
  • Add the Rice Bubbles to the bowl. Mix for 15 seconds / REVERSE / speed 2.
  • Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking tin, pressing it down and making an even surface. Place it in the fridge while you clean the bowl and melt the chocolate.
  • Clean and dry the bowl.
  • Break the chocolate up into pieces and add to the Thermomix bowl. Chop for 5 seconds / speed 8.
  • Add the oil to the bowl and melt for 3 minutes / 50 degrees / speed 2.
  • Pour the melted chocolate over the rice bubble mixture and place in the fridge for a minimum of 1 hour before slicing and serving.
