This Thermomix Guacamole recipe is so quick and easy to make and so fresh tasting, that you will never want to buy shop-bought again!

What's a party without tortilla chips and guacamole? Not a very good one, that's what!

Thermomix Guacamole Recipe

Any home chef who makes a homemade guacamole will tell you that they have the best guacamole recipe ever.

I'm not going to be so bold as to claim that, but like most home chefs, I have been working on and tweaking my recipe for guacamole over the years, and I am pretty happy with this final version.

And then came along my trusty Thermomix, which makes it even quicker to make an easy homemade guacamole.

In my own humble opinion, this is a fantastic homemade guacamole recipe. I hope you will enjoy it as much as my family does.

Ingredients for guacamole

Obviously the main ingredient for guacamole is avocados.

The best avocados for guacamole will be ripe but not over-ripe. Look for avocados that give when pressed into gently, but are not squishy. Other must-have ingredients in guacamole include tomatoes, cilantro, onion, garlic and lime juice.

For me the best onion for guacamole is a red onion. Remember that you will be eating it raw, and so you want a milder taste.

Guacamole ingredients in Thermomix

If you like a spicy guacamole, then you should absolutely add chili to it. An authentic guacamole recipe will use a jalapeno pepper or green chili. If you have a fresh green chili to add, then perfect.

Otherwise you can substitute with chili flakes or cayenne pepper if you don't have any.

How to make a guacamole dip in the Thermomix

It can be all too tempting to simply buy a tub of guacamole from the supermarket to save you the trouble of chopping everything up and mixing it together.

Making guacamole in Thermomix

But making your own guacamole in the Thermomix could not be easier, as the Thermomix does all the chopping and mixing for you!

You could just throw everything in the Thermomix and mix it together, but I prefer to add one extra step, which is chopping the onion, garlic, cilantro and chili pepper first.

Tortilla Chips and Guacamole

This helps with the consistency and avoids getting big lumps of garlic or onion in your homemade guacamole dip. As this extra step only takes an extra five seconds, I think it's worth it!

I hope you enjoy this quick and easy guacamole recipe as much as we do!
