Ingredients
You'll need the following ingredients to make your own playdough. Exact quantities can be found in the recipe card at the bottom of the post.
- Water
- Cream of Tartar
- Food Colouring - I like to use gel colouring as it doesn't make the play dough sticky. You could also use liquid food colouring but you might need to add a little extra flour.
- Salt - this helps preserve the play dough so you can store it for up to 3 months.
- Plain flour
- Oil - Helps make the playdough soft and stretchy. I use whatever oil I have in my pantry. You can use olive oil, canola oil, vegetable oil, grapeseed oil.... Or make it with coconut oil and your playdough will smell amazing!
